Frank and Camille's has been promoting the joys of piano playing to Long Islanders since its inception in 1976. Our School of Music has an established reputation and has become the go-to destination for piano students of all ages and abilities. Our instructors are experienced, well-trained musicians, offering both one-on-one and group piano lessons for all ages and abilities.
Determine where you'll place the piano in your home and how much space you have available. Frank & Camille's showcases acoustic and digital pianos in all shapes and sizes, but here's some quick tips: (1) a piano with 88 keys is typically 5 feet in width from left to right; (2) a baby grand piano is about 4.5 feet long from front to back; (3) a grand piano can be anywhere from 6 feet to 9 feet long from front to back; (4) vertical pianos and digital pianos are meant to be placed against a wall and are about 2.5 feet from front to back.
Private instruction offered for students (ages 3.5 to adults) provides one-on-one attention at the individual learning pace of the student. ADD STYLES OF PLAYING HERE (I.E. CLASSICAL, JAZZ, POP). We also prepare students participating in NYSSMA festivals and recitals. Lessons are offered in 30-minute, 45-minute or 1 hour session, with rates and policies varying by instructor.
Join “Mozart Mouse” and “Beethoven Bear” as they journey through musical adventures in this 10-week, 45-minute group piano class for young beginners (ages 3.5 to 5). Students will be playing songs on the piano from their very first class, with orchestrated backgrounds to make learning fun and easy. Classes are offered weekdays in the morning or early afternoon. Each 10-week session is $249, plus materials and registration fee.
For those who always wanted to play piano but never had the time or opportunity, our Adult Upbeat Group Class is for you. Learn the joys of playing piano in a 10-week, 1 hour class that teaches students how to read music, play melody and harmony (chords) right from the very first class! Playing piano has been shown to boost concentration and memory, including those with memory loss, reinforcing brain function. Classes are offered weekdays in the morning and early afternoon. Each 10-week session is $275 plus materials and registration fee.

The cognitive development of learning piano could enhance everything from planning skills and language development to boosting memory and reducing anxiety.
It is easy to see that musically trained children are better able to distinguish subtle details of speech, leading to improved reading, better comprehension, and also greater ability to interpret the meaning of what others are truly saying.
